So I was thinking about income inequality, and Trump and corruption and greed and it occurred to me that there might be a plan at work. Just as when pollution gets too bad, or when there is a drought and there isn’t enough prey, nature finds a way. It occurred to me that when men get too greedy, when the powerful get too powerful, that life finds a way to balance things out.

I think we can see plenty of this in history, with the Rise and Fall of Rome, the rise of warlords, and kings, even emperors. As the powerful get ever more powerful, they want more and are never satisfied. They inevitably over extend themselves, or ignore the masses who are so oppressed, they rise up overthrow the powerful.

There are plenty of aspects to these stories that could make for interesting scripts. High taxes, over spending (on military), income inequality, corruption. We see how the US had a 70% marginal rate on those earning over 10 million in the 1980’s and that rate is now under 30% in the US. We see the situation in Venezuela with Maduro, and the hungry trying to get food from stores, while the military feeds those who promise to support Maduro.

We can see that in the fall of civilization there would be a power vacuum, that the powerful would try to re-assert themselves, while the people would try to “fix” the problems. One could envision that each household might have a vote, creating situations where either the men or women would have a vote, but not both.
